THE Philippine Coast (PCG) ordered on Wednesday the suspension of travel from Sarangani, Davao Occidental to Balangonan, Jose Abad Santos, General Santos City and vice versa due to bad weather.
The Coast Guard Station Davao Occidental cited a report issued by the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted at 295 kilometers East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Norte.
The report further said Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.
The PCG reminded vessels to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant in monitoring weather disturbances.
“Voyages of vessels will resume until further notice and upon improvement of weather and sea condition,” the Coast Guard Station Davao Occidental said.
