Missing Grade 12 Ateneo Student Found Dead and Wrapped in a Sack in Camarines Sur

Police authorities discovered the dead body of a Grade 12 Ateneo student who allegedly went missing for 3 days in Camarines Sur.

The body of the Ateneo de Naga University student who went missing has been discovered. It was reportedly discovered in Zone 3, Jacob Street, Barangay Cadlan in the town of Pili, Camarines Sur, in a grassy area.

Irish Mae M. Payonga, 18, who has been missing for three days, was found dead in a deserted lot, according to her relatives. The victim lives in Brgy. Zone 1. Marupit, Camaligan, Camarines Sur, and an Ateneo De Naga University student in Grade 12.

The victim’s aunt, Edna Manguid, acknowledged the identity of the deceased person in a Facebook post. Recall that the victim vanished on October 28 and that she is believed to have taken a bus to Pili town to attend an event.

The body was discovered this afternoon by a young businessman, who discovered it unclothed and merely covered with a sack. The pedicab driver, who is claimed to be the suspect in the event, was detained by the authorities. He is 18 years old.

The suspect is being held in the Pili Municipal Police Station at this time. The “person of interest” admitted to robbing the senior high school student after killing and raping him. Following the confession of the accused, Reymark Belleza, the Pili Police can now declare the case to be closed.

When the victim, who was supposed to be traveling to the Provincial Capitol Complex to attend their church meeting but never arrived and vanished for three days, was seen riding the suspect’s pedicab on a copy of the CCTV camera, the suspect was compelled to confess. The victim, who was still smelling of alcohol when they boarded, is pointed out by a fellow passenger.
