Son Ye-jin gives birth, Hyun Bin yet to meet son – reports

Korean superstars Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin welcomed their first child, a son, on Sunday, according to reports.

Several Korean media — such as Soompi and The Korea Herald — reported that the artists’ respective management agencies confirmed the good news.

“Son Ye Jin gave birth to a son today,” MSTeam Entertainment, Son’s agency, reportedly said. “Both the mother and child are in good health.”

In June this year, three months after their grand wedding, the couple confirmed that they were expecting their first child.

English newspaper Korea JoongAng Daily said Hyun was in Mongolia when Son gave birth. The actor is currently filming the upcoming film, “Harbin.” It added that Son is expected to stay at a postnatal care center in Gangnam in Seoul.

Considered as power couple in South Korea, Hyun and Son, both 40, met in 2018 but got to really know each other when they played lovers in the hit series “Crash Landing on You” from December 2019 to February 2020.

Reports said they started dating in March 2020 but they only confirmed their relationship on January 1, 2021. The couple announced their engagement in February this year and they got married on March 31.
