Copperstone Lending, CICC Forge Alliance to Strengthen Cybercrime Prevention in Digital Lending
Quezon City | Copperstone Lending, Inc. has formalized a strategic partnership with the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), underscoring a shared commitment to responsible digital lending, consumer protection, and the fight against online fraud.
The partnership establishes a framework for public–private collaboration aimed at preventing and suppressing cybercrime linked to online lending activities. It also seeks to strengthen complaint-handling coordination, enhance public awareness, and promote greater trust in digital financial transactions—an increasingly critical concern as online lending continues to expand across the Philippines.
The MOA signing was led by Usec. Aboy A. Paraiso, Executive Director of CICC, and David S. Balamon, Chief Executive Officer of Copperstone Lending, Inc. The ceremony was witnessed by Atty. Christopher C. Tiu, Chief Legal Officer of CICC, and Atty. Peter Michael G. Pua, Legal and Public Affairs Manager of Copperstone Lending, Inc.
Also present during the event were members of Copperstone’s leadership and support teams, including Mhiduel Navarro, PR Manager; Bianna Pimentel, Project Associate; and Sallin Kisa Fernandez, Business Development Specialist, whose contributions supported the successful execution of the partnership milestone.

Under the agreement, Copperstone and CICC will collaborate on anti-cybercrime initiatives, public information and education campaigns, and coordinated response mechanisms for reported online lending-related concerns. The partnership reinforces Copperstone’s commitment to operating within strict regulatory standards, prioritizing data privacy, and upholding ethical lending practices.
By aligning with CICC, Copperstone Lending aims to help create a safer and more transparent digital lending environment—one that protects borrowers, deters cybercriminal activity, and supports the sustainable growth of the country’s digital financial ecosystem.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening integrity, accountability, and public confidence in online lending across the Philippines.
